​2025년 속회 

체리힐 제일교회는 오는 2월부터 속회를 재개하는 동시에 캠든 사역과 토요 헌신 예배를 시작합니다.

속회의 목적은 체리힐 제일교회 모든 성도들이 기쁜 마음으로 교회 생활에 참여하고, 신앙 안에서 서로 권면하고 위로하며 믿음의 성장을 함께 돕고, 예배, 봉사, 교제 등을 통해 그리스도의 사랑을 실천하는 데 있습니다.

감리교를 창시한 존 웨슬리 목사는 초대 교회 성도들의 삶에서 중요한 점을 발견했습니다. 그들은 성전에서 모이는 것 외에도 가정에서 떡을 떼며 기쁨과 순전한 마음으로 음식을 나누고 하나님을 찬양했습니다 (사도행전 2:44-47). 웨슬리 목사는 이처럼 예배와 사랑의 교제가 함께 이루어졌다는 성경의 기록을 바탕으로 속회를 조직하게 되었습니다.

속회는 감리교의 특징적인 조직으로 5-6가정 범위 안에서 조직하고 예배와 친교 , 성경연구, 구제, 봉사를 목적으로 하며 전통적으로 매주 금요일마다 교인 가정을 순회하여 신앙 훈련과 교회 부흥에 공헌하기 위한 작은 공동체입니다.

체리힐 제일교회는 작은 공동체인 속회를 더욱 효과적으로 운영하기 위해 교구 제도를 두고 있습니다. 교구장은 인도자와 속장들의 신앙 성장을 지원하며, 각자의 역할을 원활히 수행할 수 있도록 모임을 통해 돕습니다. 이러한 모임은 적어도 석 달에 한 번, 그리고 전체  모든 속원들을 포함하여 일년에 두번정도 모입니다.   

속회 운영의 전반은 속장이 담당하며, 인도자는 성경 공부를 중심으로 모임을 이끌어갑니다. 속회 모임은 교구 모임을 포함하여 연간 최소 10회 이상 진행됩니다.

교구와 속회 리더들의 헌신적인 섬김에 감사를 드립니다. 모든 속회원은 함께 협력하여 신앙 안에서 성장하고, 예배, 봉사, 교제를 통해 그리스도의 사랑을 나누기를 기대합니다. 특별히 각 속회에서 연 2회 진행하는 캠든 사역을 위해 중보기도로 준비해주시고, 어려움에 처한 이들을 예수님의 마음으로 따뜻하게 섬겨주시기를 부탁드립니다. 음식을 나누는 시간에는 그분들이 여러분을 통해 전해지는 예수님의 사랑을 느낄 수 있도록 기도하며 섬겨주시면 감사하겠습니다.

2025 Small Group Meeting

FGMC will resume small group meetings starting in February, while also launching Camden Ministry and Saturday Dawn Dedication Worship.

The purpose of the small group meetings is to encourage all members of FGMC to participate joyfully in church life, to encourage and comfort one another in faith, to help one another grow in faith, and to practice the love of Christ through worship, service, fellowship, and more.

John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, discovered something significant in the lives of the early church members. In addition to gathering in the temple, they broke bread at home, shared food with joy and sincerity, and praised God (Acts 2:44-47). Based on the biblical record that worship and fellowship in love took place together, Wesley organized the small group meetings.

Small group meetings are a distinctive feature of Methodism, organized within a range of 5-6 families. Their purpose is worship, fellowship, Bible study, charity, and service, and traditionally, they meet every Friday, visiting the homes of church members to contribute to faith training and church revival in small communities.

FGMC has implemented a district system to operate small groups more effectively. The district leaders support the spiritual growth of the leaders and small group heads and help them carry out their roles smoothly through meetings. These meetings are held at least once every three months and twice a year with all the members of the small groups.

The overall operation of small groups is handled by the small group leaders, while the facilitators lead the meetings with a focus on Bible study. Small group meetings, including district meetings, are held at least 10 times a year.

We thank the district and small group leaders for their devoted service. We look forward to all members cooperating to grow in faith together and share the love of Christ through worship, service, and fellowship. We particularly ask for your intercessory prayers for the Camden Ministry, which takes place twice a year in each small group, and encourage you to serve those in difficulty with the heart of Jesus. Please pray and serve with the intention that those who share in the meal may feel the love of Jesus through you.
